Weigh-ins
Doors open 7:00 AM; registration and weigh-ins 7:30-9:00 AM on site, wrestling starts 10:00 AM. Online registration $40 until Saturday Oct 24 at 10:00 PM; walk-ins $50. Bring completed medical and waiver forms. Spectator admission $10.
Format
Round robin / Madison system: weight groups are set after weigh-ins by age and weight, minimum two matches per athlete. Modified scholastic rules, all neutral starts except the 15-18 division, sudden-death OT. Six mats; each age group finishes within about three hours. Separate boys and girls divisions.
Pre-season youth open hosted by the PennWest Edinboro wrestling program at the Z-Dome (300 Scotland Road, Edinboro), the main early-season tournament for the Erie region. Age divisions 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18 (no graduates), with medals for top 3 in 6U-12U and top 2 in 14U/18U. Contact Coach Hill, mhill@pennwest.edu.
