Minor safety

That single rule shapes the whole platform. A minor wrestler never owns an account, never signs in, never messages anyone, and never appears in a conversation. Every athlete profile belongs to a parent or guardian, who is the only person who can create or edit it. Everyone who creates an account confirms they are an adult.

Every conversation on Wrestling Agent is between adults — structurally, because athletes have no accounts to message from or to. Communication about a wrestler goes through the parent, stays in-app, and is retained as an audit trail. Any user can block another user, which stops direct messages in both directions.

No coach can search free agents until they are verified: phone, USAW membership card, and club affiliation on file, approved by an admin. Even then, a coach sees a first name and last initial. So does a coach you apply to through a signup link, or whose club roster your wrestler is on. A wrestler's full name and photo are shared only after a real engagement exists — an accepted commitment or an application the coach approved — and with a tournament director for an event your wrestler is committed to, so the roster they receive is accurate.

Nothing a parent writes in a wrestler's showcase is visible to anyone until the parent previews it as a coach would see it and chooses to publish. Edits go back to draft; publishing is always an explicit step.

An unlisted public link is the same idea taken further: it's view-only, it shows nothing the parent hasn't marked public, and a wrestler's photo appears there only if the parent has separately given consent. The parent can rotate the link to invalidate the old one, or turn it off, at any time.

Wrestling Agent has no fields for a wrestler's birthday, school, home address, or hometown. Information we don't store can't leak, can't be scraped, and can't be misused.

Either participant can report a direct message conversation, and any signed-in user can report a review, a showcase, or a photo. Anyone holding a shared showcase link can report it without an account. Reports go to a safety queue where an admin reviews the evidence and can suspend the offending account on the spot — and the reported user never learns who filed the report. Unless something is explicitly marked Verified, we do not independently guarantee event details, coaching credentials, athlete eligibility, or that an event will run.
