How Wrestling Agent works

Everything on Wrestling Agent hangs off the same ladder a dual tournament runs on: the event, its divisions, and the weight classes inside them. Parents fill a weight. Coaches fill a lineup.

For parents

    Create a wrestler profile — first name, last initial, grade, weight. That's all a coach sees until you accept a spot; everything else you add is optional and shared only as you choose. One account holds every kid in the family.

    Browse open weights at verified events, or set your travel radius and let verified coaches with a hole at your wrestler's weight find you.

    Claim the spot — or apply through a signup link a coach you already know shared with your club.

    When the coach accepts, it becomes a commitment with a cancellation policy you saw up front — no surprises about notice or refunds.

    Wrestle, then review the team and the tournament. Showing up builds your family's reliability record — the thing coaches check next season.

For coaches

    Register your club and get verified — phone, USAW card, and your club's confirmation before you can search free agents. See the checklist.

    Build a team for an event. The division's weight ladder loads straight onto your roster board.

    Mark the holes. Every open weight becomes an open-slot listing that matching free agents in range can see and claim.

    Work the claims — or hand your own network a shareable signup link and approve applications weight by weight.

    Every accepted spot becomes a tracked commitment. Reliability badges and reviews tell you which families show up before you save them a slot.

Safety first

Minors never have accounts. Parents hold every athlete profile, control every message, and decide what gets shared. Phone numbers, emails, schools, and birthdays are never public — and only verified coaches can search free agents at all. A coach you apply to sees a first name and last initial until you accept a spot.

The verification chain

Nothing on Wrestling Agent is marked Verified until an admin checks it — the event's dates and fees against the organizer's own page, the team's entry against the coach's receipt, the coach's credentials against the checklist. Unverified events show a notice instead of made-up details. We never invent dates, weights, or fees.
