Weigh-ins

Per MAWA entry forms, a cumulative 2 lb allowance is given at Eastern Nationals (1 lb at Regionals). Singlet or two-piece wrestling uniform required at weigh-ins.

Format

Qualifier-only national: top four placers from each of MAWA's four Regional tournaments (North, South, East, West; districts feed regionals) advance in each age/weight division. A $30 advancement fee is collected at the Regional. Age divisions by birth year: Bantam, Midget, Junior, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite, plus Open. PIAA-modified rules.

The Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association's Eastern National Championships, hosted for 28 straight years at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury, MD (15 mats, ~1,400-1,500 wrestlers). Youth and high school wrestlers from PA, NJ, MD, DE, WV, VA and NY qualify through MAWA district and regional tournaments held March-April. The 2026 edition ran May 1-3, 2026.
