Weigh-ins

2026 sessions: 6U/8U weigh-in 7:00-7:30 AM (wrestling ~8:30-9:00); 10U/12U/14U/Girls weigh-in 10:30-11:00 AM (wrestling ~12:00-12:30). 2027 is a two-day event so sessions may be split by day.

Format

Madison system, 4-5 person round-robin brackets; all matches 1:00-1:00-1:00. Novice program (0-3 years experience): wrestlers must have competed in at least one Future Champions event this season and may not have wrestled in a Regional or the Folkstyle State Championships. Certified coaching band (Copper/Bronze) required in the corner.

The season-ending event of the MSWA Future Champions Series, which exists so beginner and intermediate wrestlers have a place to compete. Age groups 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U plus girls-only brackets; birth year takes precedence over age group. Medals for all participants. Entry $40 online only, no walk-ins.
