Weigh in wearing singlet or t-shirt/shorts; no weight allowance; fingernails must be cut.

Format

Individual folkstyle brackets in 8U/10U/12U/14U. Elementary and middle school athletes only (no high school wrestlers). Open to Maryland and DC athletes only; competing in a Regional is required to qualify for the MSWA Folkstyle State Championships.

One of five MSWA Regional Championships that feed the Maryland Folkstyle State Championships. Wrestlers must compete in a Regional to qualify for States. Divisions are 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U by birth year. Entry is $40 online only with no walk-in registrations. The other 2027 regionals are West (Jan 23, Fort Hill HS), Central (Jan 24, Howard HS), North (Jan 30, Star Center) and East (Feb 7, Kent Island HS).
