Weigh-ins

State weigh-in is scratch weight +2 lb allowance; weigh-out is scratch +3 lb, available Saturday in the Community Room until 1 hour after the final 249 lb match (no Sunday weigh-outs).

Format

Junior high (7th-8th grade) brackets at 18 weight classes; wrestlers qualify through OAC Jr. High District tournaments (Feb 2027). Age cap: not eligible if turning 15 before Aug 1 of the prior year. Early-registration discount ($10) within 7 days of the district.

The Ohio Athletic Committee's Boys Junior High State Championships crown Ohio's 7th/8th-grade folkstyle champions at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, drawing qualifiers from the OAC Jr. High District tournaments held statewide in February. Brackets are live on Trackwrestling; tickets and programs are presold through the Wednesday of tournament week.
