Format

Individual folkstyle state championship. Boys must qualify through a VAWA Kids State Qualifier (top placers) and pay a $60 state advancement fee before leaving the qualifier; the girls division is open registration. Virginia residents only (residency by school enrollment; homeschoolers need a VA address on their USAW card). Divisions 8U, 10U, 12U and U15 (2026).

Virginia USA Wrestling's youth folkstyle state championships for elementary and middle-school wrestlers. The 2026 edition was held Feb 28 - Mar 1, 2026 at Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge; the 2025 edition was Mar 8-9 at Roanoke College in Salem, so the site rotates. Minimum Limited Folkstyle USAW membership required; qualifiers run in early February around the state (2026 sites included Cox HS, Virginia Beach).
