Weigh-ins
Wrestlers must weigh less than their maximum weight at YNEW weigh-ins; a strict +1 lb allowance is added to each weight class limit. Wrestlers must weigh in wearing their uniform.
Format
Set weight classes (see YNEW Weights & Ages PDF). Open (co-ed) 8U, 10U, 12U, 15U and Girls 10U, 12U, 15U. Must reside in a New England state; all state place-finishers qualify automatically, limited wildcard slots; no wrestler who competed in a high-school post-season.
The Youth New Englands, the region's youth championship for 8U through 15U, held March 13-14, 2027 at Game On Sports Complex in Fitchburg, MA. Registration $68 (opens Feb 8 for 8U/10U and Feb 15 for 12U/15U, closes Monday March 8). Coach passes $25/$40, spectators $15/$25. Team affiliations can be updated until noon Friday March 12.
